GradeGuru is the #1 professor–recommended study network for college students. Connect with classmates, share class notes and excel with our study tools while earning rewards and recognition for your work.
Our History
GradeGuru launched in the United Kingdom in 2009 and quickly expanded to the US the same year. We are currently managed by a small international team of people dedicated to student learning in New York, London and Noida, India.
We are inspired by ethnographic research into student study habits and motivations, refined through social media and contextual inquiry research as well as the input of our Academic Advisory Committee (not to mention usability testing and efficacy tracking).
What We Offer Students
Better grades, more confidence, help from your classmates, and recognition for your hard work - that's what GradeGuru is all about. We help our students:
- Learn from others by accessing study materials from their successful classmates. We believe getting a fellow learner's perspective when you are stuck is key to working out what's required for your classes.
- Be more effective and efficient. Our study tools allow students to create flashcards, automatically generate bibliographies, and more. Our mobile apps also allow you to take our tools on the go!
And for students that don’t need help studying, GradeGuru offers a wide range of rewards that come with being a top student. By sharing study notes and helping others, students can earn points and cool rewards, and be recognized as a Guru. Having a Guru status lets job recruiters know that you're a top student.
What We Offer Educators
GradeGuru offers an intuitive environment for student collaboration. By using GradeGuru, educators can gain:
- Better study aids for their students, provided by their peers.
- Greater student engagement with class concepts.
- Improved student confidence and motivation.
- Ultimately, better student performance and retention without extra office hours or school resources.

Student Quotes
I plan on using GradeGuru as a resource that can be beneficial to my academic career. Even if I already have notes for a class, it helps a lot to get a different perspective from other students who may understand the concepts better than you did.
Prashant Singh, University of Illinois
Knowing that I will be uploading my notes onto GradeGuru has forced me to take better and more detail oriented notes. Since my notes have increased in quality, my grades have gone up.
Elyssa Noblesala, University of Delaware
It's nice to see the styles other students use when taking notes. It shows me what is effective and how I can incorporate better note-taking techniques into my own studying.
Elyse Edge, University of Wisconsin
